"My favorite part about working at the Corps was the Sunnyvale route, picking up recycling from different businesses. Through our recycling and cleaning up efforts, I know that my work contributed to a cleaner and healthier community.

I gained knowledge and experience and definitely stepped out of my comfort zone. Having to train others is something that has helped me. My leadership skills improved, learning how to communicate efficiently, and also learning how to handle challenges with confidence.

Thank you to the San Jose Conservation Corps for giving me the opportunity to grow as a person. I don't know where I would have been without all the help that all the staff and supervisors have given me. I'm very grateful for that."
