City of Cupertino Compost Giveaway Site
Since 2019, the City of Cupertino and Zero Waste Silicon Valley (ZWSV) have partnered to provide Cupertino residents with free, high-quality compost. Weekly, ZWSV provides corpsmembers to manage the compost giveaway site to ensure that all participants are Cupertino residents, direct traffic, and provide effective customer service.
This program seeks to provide seasoned corpsmembers with the opportunity to lead operations and fully express their leadership abilities. This allows for the City of Cupertino to focus its personnel efforts on programmatic tasks that seek to evaluate, expand, and continue to provide the service to their residents.
